“Valley Boys Join The Cancer Society of The Bahamas to promote Cancer Screening”
The Valley Boys Junkanoo Organizationis pleased to announce that the Cancer Society of The Bahamas has agreed to allow us to partner with them on raising the awareness about the importance of ‘Cancer Screening’.
The Valley Boys are joining the ‘fight against Cancer’ through the sale of tee-shirts, encouraging women and men to be screened for Breast and Prostate Cancer, respectively. Featuring the bright colours of Junkanoo, the shirts highlight the Pink Ribbon which is the symbol for Breast Cancer and a light Blue Ribbon which is the symbol for Prostate Cancer. The design is that of Dwight Glinton, an artist and designer with the Valley Boys.
Part proceeds from the sale of these shirts will be donated to the Cancer Society and the Valley Boys Building Fund. The Valley Boys will also donate two dozen shirts to Family Island residents of the Centre.
Shirts may be purchased from The Cancer Society of The Bahamas, East Terrace Centerville; Ricardo’s Customer Loyalty Centre, Carib Road and Locks Cabinet on ClaridgeRoad & Balfour Avenue. Shirts are also available online at www.valleyboysonline.com and at Valley Boys’ practice sessions. Shirts will also be on sale from 6:00p.m. at The Valley Boys’ ‘Fan Fest’, Saturday, 14th November on the grounds of Burns House JFK drive.
